The Resurrection of Consciousness

The Resurrection of Consciousness is a presentation by Noel Zinn that explores the possibility that consciousness survives brain death, not through traditional religious resurrection but as a return to a universal mind. Drawing on ideas from quantum physicists and philosophers, especially Bernardo Kastrup, Zinn challenges the physicalist view that consciousness is produced solely by the brain and instead presents the idealist view that consciousness is fundamental and individual minds are temporary expressions of it. He points to experiences such as deep meditation, near-death states, and psychedelics—where brain activity is reduced but awareness can intensify—as suggestive evidence that consciousness may persist beyond the brain.
